The Parent Club creates opportunities for parents to have hands-on involvement with their children at Avon Montessori School. This participation is fun and helps reinforce many of the things that are being taught throughout the year. Kids love to give their parents a tour on the first visit introducing friends and demonstrating the various works.
Parent Club also brings parents together providing the opportunity to exchange ideas and work together with the children on fun projects.
Gardening - Parents and kids enjoy planting the annual garden in the spring. The children tend the gardens as things grow and parents help harvest the vegetables through the summer.
Father's Building Projects - Fathers get together to help the kids build fun projects like a worm farm and festive bird houses.
Social Activities - Social activities include several outings and get togethers each year. Field trips include; apple, pumpkin and strawberry picking, visits to the botanical gardens, Cleveland museums, Lake Erie Science Center.
Classroom Volunteer - Many parents enjoy spending time at the school reading to children, preparing class materials, caring for the animals or what ever may be needed to enrich the classroom.
