Extended Day Programs

Extended Day Kindergarten
Monday and Fridays 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Tuesdays-Thursdays 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This is an optional program for our kindergartners. Three days a week, children will share lunch together, and then participate in special projects and in-depth studies of the current curriculum. Field trips will also be included for this group.

Tuition for the extended day will be an additional $1,200 for the year.

Montessori Plus
This program is for children who will be enrolled in half day kindergarten at AMS, and who will also be attending a half-day public or parochial school in the area.

By allowing flexibility in arrival and depature, this program allows your child to complete the three year Montessori cycle, and experience a full day of kindergarten by attending another program for the second part of their day.

For local public Avon students*, bus service is available to drop off and pick up from AMS/Avon Village (across the street). Children will bring their lunch to eat before they leave for their next school, or begin their afternoon at AMS.

A $200 fee will be added to tuition for this program to help cover staff requirements during the transition time.

Lunch Buddies
A program where your preschooler can stay for or arrive early for lunch time with their friends. Families would be able to sign up monthly for Lunch Buddies. There will be a minimal fee to help cover staff requirements.

After School Care
Monday through Friday 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. $15/day

*All-Day kindergarten is available in Avon Village public school, however the cost is not completely covered by taxes. The cost for attending all-day kindergarten in Avon for the 2009-2010 school year will be approximately $2,400.00.
